A suspended market is temporarily closed for betting. Its odds are shown as locked, and no bets can be placed on it until it reopens.
Live markets are suspended when the odds cannot be offered fairly at that moment, for example because of:
a key moment in the game, such as a goal, penalty, red card, VAR check or dangerous attack
a delay or problem with the live data
incorrect information being displayed, such as the score or match time
technical issues or suspected integrity problems
Most suspensions last only a few seconds. Once the situation is clear, the market reopens with updated odds.
A market can also close permanently once its outcome has been decided. For example, the “1st Half Winner” market closes after the first half ends.
