What happens if I place a bet after an important event has already happened?

If a bet is accepted after an event’s outcome is already determined or affected, the sportsbook reserves the right to void the bet and refund the stake in accordance with technical and fair play rules.

For example, the third goal of a match is scored, but for a few seconds the odds are not yet updated, and a bet on “Over 2.5 goals” is accepted at the old odds. This bet can be voided, because the outcome was already known when the bet was placed.

The same applies when, at the moment the bet was placed:

  • the score, match time or red cards were displayed incorrectly

  • the odds were obviously wrong due to a technical error

  • the market should have been suspended but stayed open

Bets placed before the important event happened are not affected and are settled as normal.
